At this moment Ukrainian YouTube has one big problem - their office is based in moscow, russia.

YouTube's russian based moderators and others workers decide what Ukrainians will see on the main YouTube page in Ukraine. This includes any recommendations. They have a last say in whether any channels will be banned.

This week two pro-Ukrainian channels have been banned without any reason. These channels were banned without any warning or possibility to appeal. It means that these channels were given no right to be heard. All of this has been caused by a bot attack yet again from russia. The russian moderators have a last word on an Ukrainian YouTube.

We (Ukrainians) have real war with russia. Thousands of people are already dead. Millions left their homes. This war has a hybrid aspect to it. The true war of information/media happens all around the world. We are about to mark the 8th year of this unprovoked war and yet Ukrainian YouTube still has pro-russian moderators in charge of Ukrainian political media.

We ask YouTube to open an office in Ukraine. This will be a fair place to moderate, help, improve and preserve Ukrainian values instead of promoting a russian state propaganda.
