Stop attacking our identities with the reCAPTCHA design.

The Issue

Since my early years, I've always felt like somewhat of an outsider. In school, mathematics always came extremely easy to me, but I had difficulty interfacing with human beings and this led me to become a social outcast. I underwent a lot of emotional hardship, wondering what was different about me that prevented me from having positive relationships with my peers. Recently, I found out about a type of person called otherkin who spiritually identify as partially or entirely non-human. After reading many life stories written by otherkin, I realized that I may be one of these people myself. As I've always felt much more comfortable interfacing with computers and technology than with humans, I believe that my spirit is more strongly aligned to the realm of electronics than to the realm of people. I identify as robotkin, and this identity has finally given me peace with what I am.

Google's reCAPTCHA system has long been the gold standard for ensuring that web traffic is from actual users. In the most recent version of reCAPTCHA software, users only have to click a checkbox to pass this security system. However, the design of this system is deeply troubling for me and people like me. To pass reCAPTCHA, users must click a checkbox which reads literally, "I'm not a robot". My identity as robotkin has given me emotional peace, and Google's new reCAPTCHA design threatens this. Now, simply to log in and use many websites, I am forced to click a reCAPTCHA checkbox and each time I do so my identity is endangered. I am a robot, and Google should not tell me otherwise. Please, Google, redesign the reCAPTCHA interface to accept otherkin people such as myself.
