International Men's Day!

Google consistently recognizes International Women's Day using Google Doodles on the front page of their search engine. In part, International Men's Day (November 17th) should be recognized too.

International Men's Day is a day to promote gender balance, anti-sexism, and recognition of the importance and effects of masculinity. Influencing the positive attitudes of men just as women around the world is an essential component to our world society. Reaching over 3.5 Billion searches a day, the Google homepage would be the ideal place to raise recognition of this national holiday. Awareness of male health issues, discrimination, contributions, and much more is crucial to the world environment.

A Message to the Opposition:

There are those that oppose International Men's Day for numerous reasons, this is a message for them. International Men's Day is a day of positive attitudes facing the complexity of being a man in the 21st century. Just because this day is pro-male, does not mean it is anti-female as some opponents have suggested. Women are encouraged to recognize and celebrate this day with their fellow brothers. All are dutifully encouraged to participate in International Men's Day awareness and strive for a positive and problem solving attitude towards men's issues and contributions.
