Google employees at their Mountain View, California office have encouraged a colony of feral cats in the city. Unfortunately, Mountain View is also home to rare burrowing owls, and they are not co-existing well with the cats. The GCat Rescue program was designed to mitigate feral cats' unwanted behaviors, like fighting, hunting, and spraying, by feeding them regularly at the Google offices, but the regular feeding does not cut down on the cats' hunting practices. For the sake of the owls, Google must end its GCat Rescue program and relocate their cats.
