The new Google icons are hideous. They all look very similar and it is hard to see which is which. We all love the old Google icons. Please bring them back.

Before, you go this is another "change is bad" backlash, I would like to point out that this new change is a terrible attempt at accomplishing its goal, which is to unify the apps. Microsoft Office is an example of how you could make your apps unified, but not identical. These icons are simply bad design because of the colors, and the empty space inside, which makes the shapes harder to identify.

Google apps play a major role in our online learning environment and when all the icons look similar, it presents a challenge and great annoyance to many students. In addition to being hard to recognize, the new google icons look bad. They just look terrible. Especially the google meet and google docs. The original ones were easily recognizable as well as aesthetic and there is simply no reason to replace it with such an awful alternative.

Some people also have vision problems, and it makes it increasingly difficult for them to find their apps now because of the similarity in shape and color.
