Ban Life360. Insurance companies are using this app to raise kid's insurance rates.

The Issue

Life360 is an app that tracks kids and families. While it may seem like a good way to keep track of kids, it's an invasion of privacy and destroys trust between kids. Not to mention, when reading the user agreements for this app, Life360 can SELL information to insurance companies. If a liability issue arises, Life360 can sell children's information to insurance companies which might increase their insurance rates for life i.e car crashes. Life360, on their website even states that they partner with Allstate, an insurance company; that right there is a red flag because no company designed to keep people safe should be gaining money from partnering with an insurance company. Insurance companies like Allstate are using Life360 as a way to raise insurance rates for people's kids. Life360, while under all U.S. state laws is legal for all kids under 18, some parents use it to track their kids over 18, which invades all privacy and does not become a parenting issue at that point, it's a legal issue. Legally, and socially the app Life360 is a bad idea. Most parents use it without thinking about how it will affect their family in the long run. Please, spread this petition and the word and sign because Life360 is hurting kids and families. From my personal experience, my friend's relationships with their parents were completely destroyed after using this app. There are multiple tracking apps that I, personally would never use that are quite acceptable, but Life360 will never be one of those apps. Life360, down to its user agreement is a bad idea and should not be promoted on the app store and google play store. The Life360 app does nothing but perpetuate toxic standards for families and raises insurance rates. While it is not Apple or Google's job to limit how parents can parent their kids, it is their job to inform app users of the dangers and mis-leadings of the app. Please, sign this petition and help stop Life360 from perpetuating toxic standards of families and mis-leadings of the public.
