Jack Kirby was a renowned American comic book artist, writer, and editor, widely considered one of the medium's major innovators and one of its most prolific and influential creators. Born Jacob Kurtzberg on August 28, 1917, he is best known for his work in the superhero genre.

He co-created many famous comic characters, including the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the Hulk for Marvel Comics. He created Darkseid, the New Gods, and the Fourth World saga for DC Comics. Kirby's distinctive style and storytelling were influential in the creation and development of the modern comic book, and his artistic influence in the comics world is still felt today.

Kirby passed away in February 1994, but his legacy continues to shape the comics and entertainment industry. Many of the characters and stories he created or co-created have been adapted into successful films, TV series, and video games. He deserves to have a Google Doodle to honor his legacy and impact on comic books, movies, TV shows and video games.
