Many people enjoy thrifting because it’s more affordable and you can find stuff you like, but, because of its affordability it’s a great place for people will low income or people with no steady income to shop. But, when it’s made into a trend or an aesthetic and Goodwill realizes they can increase their prices, which they are slowly doing, its our job to imeadiatly stop shopping there. If you continue shopping there those with less money who can’t afford main stream stores have to pay more for their clothes that are meant to be INEXPENSIVE because it is all DONATED. It’s wrong for Goodwill to increase their prices in the first place, but it’s even worse to continue promoting them by shopping there if they continue to do so. There are “vintage” shops that supply the same thing but have legitimate vintage pieces to buy, that may be more expensive, but you can still find many items that are discounted from the original price (House of Vintage for example). There are also resell stores which people sell their clothes to too have people re-buy so they can make a profit as well as the store (platos, buffalo exchange, etc). Please sign this petition raise awareness to others as well Goodwill so we can make the change needed!
