The Miami Street Workout Community is growing every day but we still do not have a place to train. This being a major tourist spot for many athletes, most of us resort to training in a gym, a children's park, or another outside area and often get kicked out or reprimanded due to our exercises compromising the safety of the individuals around us (as none of the listed places is one built for our sport). That being said, the only bars readily avaliable to use are the ones at Muscle Beach in South Beach but their quality is terrible and they are very old. These bars are also unsafe for athletes due to how narrow it is making it impossible for tricks to be done without a high risk of injury - and this is one of many issues. This is why Team Oblivion, a Street Workout Team based in Miami, has decided to create this petition. To ask the City of Miami Beach to help us ensure the safety of our athletes and others by allocating a place for us all to be able to train. By working with our athletes, we are sure that we can put Miami on the map for this growing sport and do amazing things. We just need this park, and we need it now!
