As part of Gombe state autochthonous, we, the indigenous people of Dukku Local Government are strenuously at loggerheads with Gombe state government's decision on relocation of the state College of Nursing and Midwifery to any Local Government aside Dukku where it was earlier approved to be relocated to as part of educational encouragement to the community in the absence of any state or federal high institution in the entire Local Government.

Frankly speaking, lack of high institution is deteriorating educational standard and strengthening poor educational background in Dukku community.

At the beginning, we were casted a shadow over the school by procrastinating the building here in Dukku Local Government.

Between the commencement of the building to date (and yet incomplete) many institutions in the state were completely built and started operating.

So, this time around we don't want to be let down by the government.

We hope the government will put us in the square together with the other local governments and continue considering us as part of the state.
