Caravan site fee increases

Caravan site fee increases
The Issue
Site fees on the Golf Links Caravan Park in Portush have risen this season by over 30% (for some residents this is a rise of around £1300).
The Park owners issued these revised fees to all occupants with no explanation for the massive increase.
The average yearly price increase on this site over the previous 5 years has been in and around 4 to 5% and is usually justified by a break down of improvements the site owners plan to make to the park over the forthcoming season.
During previous seasons the fee increases were supposed to provide improvements to the park which would benefit residents directly. Instead the only changes to the park have been extensions to house more caravans and increase profit for the owners.
The residents are fearful of future rises in their fees similar to this year , and with VAT returning to 20% next season another £500 to £600 would be the minimum increase in next years bills.
Under the Northern Ireland Caravaners Act 2011, the residents of the park have the right to reject any fee increase they feel is unjustified and is providing no improvement to conditions on site.
The park owners cannot impose these huge fee increases if the majority of residents reject the new rates by signing this petition.
WE ARE ASKING ONLY GOLF LINKS RESIDENTS TO SIGN THIS PETITION.
