Simply allow people to play golf again that live in metropolitan Melbourne.

Golf is vital for some people’s mental health in these testing times with so many restrictions due to COVID-19.

As a weekend golfer my once a week game along with many other social golfers has been stopped, yet with the amount of social distancing that can be achieved on a golf course in a very safe environment this restriction is bewildering.
I believe along with many others golf courses should be opened up for play ASAP.

Golf is a passive sport played by all age levels and all skill levels and many elderly and retirees rely on their weekly game of golf for their mental health.

I am not asking for the clubhouses to be opened, or access to practice facilities, just the Pro Shop at each course where contactless payment can be arranged as this is currently done at many businesses.

Many golf clubs operated in between lockdowns successfully with a COVIDSafe plan in place.
