I would like a refund or replacement vehicle.

The issue

There are so many people who are suffering after purchasing what Holden claim to be a reliable car. Thes cars are not of reasonable quality, are not free from defects and are not durable.  Many people are suffering after purchasing Holden Captivas that are of poor quality and the dealerships together with Holden are not offering the consumer much support to get out of owning a faulty vehicle.

If you purchase an item under warranty that is clearly very faulty it gets replaced, however this doesnt seem to be the case with vehicles.  Why doesn't Holden replace vehicles that are clearly riddled with many faults?  I believe all these vehicles should be recalled and replaced or families compensated.

We purchased our Captiva in August 2011.  On the 8th of September 2011 I lost use of my gears when trying to slow down from a 100km zone to a 80 km zone with a cattle truck behind me.  I had a near miss with the truck and had to swerve off the road onto gravel.  If it wasn't for my skilled defensive driving this could have been a critical car accident thanks to Holden's faulty gears.  We then had to return the car to Holden on the 12th of September  as some of the trim fell off the car.  On the 8th of June 2012 We had the engine light come on indicating Cam Shaft problems, it was supposedly fixed.  7th of August 2012 engine light again. This time they had to replace the faulty exhaust Cam Shaft Actuator.

I asked many times in the first twelve months to have a replacement vehicle as this one was clearly faulty and they said no so they gave me a 30,000 km goodwill service.  Not long after that we had the engine light come on again and the car was making funny noises.  After a long time in the workshop I think it was about 3 weeks we were told that there was a bit of metal from manufacture found in the parts where the oil is causing the car to lose oil pressure they had to do major works on the oil system.  Since then we have had our parking sensors replaced and they are still not operating properly and now it is in for another warranty claim on a part of the engine that needs replacing.

Since then we have had the following replaced under warrenty

Parking sensors, trailer plug, Media display, CD player replaced, Front driver seat belt replaced due to fraying, the passenger one is freying also, however apparently it's not bad enough to replace yet.  Rear seat belt clasp is waiting to be replaced.

This car is not of reasonble quality, it is not free from defects.  If I was aware of the condition of this vehicle I would not have purchased it.  I am asking for Poyser Motors to refund or replace this vehicle.
