Mr Fine has decided that because there were slightly more behavioral problems in the last 5 minutes of lunch, it should be taken away from everyone.  He has added these 5 minutes to second period and taken it from lunch. The Utah Office of Administrative Rules section R610-2-3 subsection A states that a Minor working a 7 hour shift (the length of the school day) is entitled to a 30 minute lunch break in which they must be relieved of all duties and allowed to leave the work station. Section R610-2-3 subsection B says that in addition to the 30 minute lunch, they are required a 10 minute paid break for every 4 hours worked. We shouldn’t be given less break time than if we were working. The administration needs to correct this, and enough signatures from the student body can force them.
