I'm Eadie, a pupil at St Alban's RC High School. I am creating this petition because of how deeply I care about the future of St Alban's and want to show the strength of support within our school community for  a new building.

My brother is starting Year 7 soon and is disappointed because of how poor the building is compared to other secondary schools in Torfaen. He even asks me whether he will  be safe at school. I would like the future generations of pupils at our school to have safer, more modern facilities as their learning environment. I am aware that the Welsh Government, Torfaen Council and Archdiocese are working towards finding a solution. However, the funding is a challenge and the lack of progress is frustratingly slow.

St Alban's is an incredible school and I believe the pupils deserve a building just as good as the other schools. The current building has significant issues, including mould, cracks in walls, very cold conditions in winter, flooding and inadequate facilities.

Over the last year, I have truly discovered what St Alban's is all about. It is like a huge family. Staff try exceptionally hard to help us pupils be the best we can be and to enrich our education.  I absolutely love going to school every day and have never been so happy. Please help support us so we can be safer in the place we love.

This petition is about showing how much pupils, families and the community support the long-term goal of a new St Alban's and asking the relevant organisations to continue working together to discover a solution so this project can move forward.
