Thank you so much for your support, we have now reached a significant milestone in our Give Seals Space campaign....we have exceeded 50,000 signatures !!

This milestone turns heads and gets our campaign noticed just like our sister campaign Save Our Seals from Flying Rings campaign did.

So why would it turn heads?

Quite simply, the people who have the ability to make changes suddenly realise that the public are supporting that seals need to be properly protected in law.

Two respected Committees with national and international status recommended to HM Government that these incredible animals need protection from disturbance.

50,000 plus members of the public agree too and are asking the Government why they refused such important recommendations.

Our Prime Minister Rt Hon Andy Burnham MP is clearly wanting to change the way Governments govern and has criticised previous decisions and style of leadership within the UK Government.

We support Mr Burnham's desire to make positive changes and hope that he will in time review earlier decisions not to  fully protect wildlife.

50,000 + signatures is a phenomenal figure to achieve and importantly, these were gathered WITHOUT us using a celebrity or influencer to boost numbers.

These are all ordinary members of the public who were not influenced or cajoled into signing the petition...they are supporting us as it is the 'right thing to do'.

That is goldust as the figure is authentic and supported by people who care.

So, what next?

Behind the scenes, we are working closely with organisations that have a direct link with or potential influence with Government.

It is not going to be  a quick and easy process to get the decision makers to realise that action must be taken to protect our precious wildlife.

We are in for the long haul and are quite prepared to be.

However as I said, heads are already turning and building our petition numbers is crucial.

Can you help us more?

Please share the petition link again and again and again please.

Please revisit all of your contacts at home, work or even down the pub and ask them to sign then share the link far and wide.

Finally Mr Burnham, we are wanting your support too, so please ask your Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, The Rt Hon Dame Angela Eagle DBE MP to revisit the decision they made in December 2025 NOT to fully protect seals.

PS At a recent Nature Event in South Wales, these two trees in the photo turned up...not one to turn down a photo opportunity I asked for their support....once explained to them what our campaigns were about, they eagerly wanted to support us.

Any tree related comments are welcomed....thank you.
