OUR NEIGHBORHOOD DESERVES A VOICE.

What if we stopped asking what our neighborhood is missing and started asking what our neighborhood could become?

The Packard/Fairfield area is home to families, children, young people, small businesses, longtime residents, community leaders, and people who care deeply about where they live.

I believe our community deserves more opportunities to LIVE. CONNECT. SHOP. DINE. LEARN. CREATE. AND GROW.

Recently, I began conversations with local redevelopment and community leaders about a vision I have for the future of this area. Those conversations made one thing very clear to me:

Before we decide what gets built, we need to listen to the people who already live here.

That is why I created this petition.

I am exploring the possibility of a new community development vision that could bring together opportunities for:

• Youth development, STEM, technology, and innovation

• Family-friendly spaces and community activities

• Local restaurants, shops, and small businesses

•Parks, green spaces & outdoor gathering areas 

• Housing opportunities

• Entrepreneurship and employment

• Community events and gathering spaces

• Educational and mentorship opportunities

• Partnerships with local organizations, schools, and businesses

• New investment that strengthens not disconnects from the surrounding neighborhood

But here’s what matters most:

I don’t have every answer. And I don’t want to.

I don’t want to create a plan behind closed doors and then bring it to the neighborhood asking people to accept it.

I want to listen first.

What do YOU want to see here?

What does our neighborhood need?

What would make you proud to bring your family here?

What opportunities do our children and young people deserve?

What businesses would you support?

What concerns should be addressed?

What should we protect?

And what would you like to see change?

Your voice can help shape those answers.

This petition is not asking you to approve a finished project.

It is asking for something much bigger:

A SEAT AT THE TABLE.

A chance for residents to be heard before decisions are made.

A chance for our young people to imagine something bigger.

A chance for local entrepreneurs to be part of the future.

A chance for neighbors to come together and help shape the direction of our community.
