Give Nino, Miku, and Itsuki Their Own Endings – Alternate Routes for The TQQ

The Issue

To: Negi Haruba, Kodansha, Bibury Animation Studios, and TBS Anime Production We are fans of The Quintessential Quintuplets (5-toubun no Hanayome), and we thank you for creating such an unforgettable story filled with emotional growth, sisterhood, and love. While we respect Yotsuba’s canon ending, many of us deeply connected with the other sisters—especially Nino, Miku, and Itsuki—and long to see what their own happy endings with Futaro would look like. These characters were never just background rivals. Each of them had deep development: Miku opened up her heart, overcame her shyness, and learned to cook for Futaro.
Nino matured and fell for him for who he truly is, changing herself to be by his side.
Itsuki was the first to meet Futaro, the first to see his home, and shared personal moments no one else did. That’s why we’re asking you to consider creating anime-original alternate endings, in the form of: Animated What-If OVA specials These would not replace the original ending, but celebrate each girl’s journey with respectful, fan-loved alternatives—just as many romance series (like Amagami SS, KimiKiss, and Clannad) have done before. We believe this would be meaningful to fans worldwide, and many of us would proudly support it—financially and emotionally. Please give these beloved sisters their own stories. We’d love to see how each of them would share a future with Futaro. These characters have captured our hearts throughout the series for their unique personalities, growth, and deep emotional connections to Fuutarou. With their journeys representing love, sacrifice, and personal transformation, an alternate ending would honor their stories and the diverse fans who support them. We request that Negi Haruba, the author, Kodansha, the publisher, Bibury Animation Studios, and the anime production team consider the possibility of crafting alternate ending content — whether in a new special episode, or OVA where Miku, Itsuki, and Nino receive the love and resolution they deserve. With appreciation and hope, The Global 5-Toubun Fan Community. Join us in our mission to give the fans the ending we’ve been hoping for!
