GOOD NEWS! On Saturday, August 30th, my son not only looked at me, but followed my instructions and tracked my fingers with his eyes. This is NOT a person who needs to be put in a nursing home or hospice as the doctors told us the first week of August. I was so excited that I hurried to get the nurse to see it; she told me to make a video, which I did. Don't know why there is no sound; but I would say up and down, open and close. He had done at least 4 reps. for me, another 2 or 3 times when the nurse came in, by the time I took the video he did it 2 1/2 times, then gave me that stare, "I'm tired; I'm done for today!"
I am exhausted with Aetna and have taken the next step and reached out to the media for help. I am asking everyone to continue to share this Petition with their contacts as well as social media friends -- the more signatures, the more ammunition I have to continue to fight for Tim. If any of you know anyone who might be able to help, please have them reach out to me in the comment section of this Petition. If you have not seen the coverage on people that have been denied by insurance companies, check it out at https://www.nbcnews.com/cost-of-denial If doctors say their patients need such and such -- who are they to say no! These people are loved ones: mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, children, siblings -- they may be only a number to the insurance companies, but they are Everything to their Families! (Photo of him and his daughter when she was a little girl and now all grown up)
Although Aetna is the insurance company in this case and the 2 cases I had seen on TV; they are not the only ones guilty of causing further pain and anguish for families. Its time they are all held accountable.
Love and Thanks to You All,
Paula
