August 25th, I was informed by my employer that I will no longer have Mondays off, effective immediately. Abruptly, my world was turned on its side.

This news is truly detrimental to my quality of life. For one year and eight months, I have maintained the same schedule. At this point, I cannot fathom another way of life.

Mondays are my sacred day of rest, relaxation, and reset. Without them, I fear the person I may become at work. The friendly, supportive, entertaining office jester will be no longer.

For the sake of a close friend and colleague, as well as the morale and general atmosphere of the office, I respectfully—but strongly—urge my employers to reconsider and reverse this devastating change.

Give me back my Mondays.
