Hello, I am Alaina Oyler I am a resident youth at mount Holly and I am calling upon families of Mount Holly and especially the youth of Holly to help make the old Mount Holly elementary school into a safe place for kids to have fun. I have two ideas for Mount Holly elementary. First I’d love to see an arcade back in holly. There used to be an arcade in mount Holly before us younger generation were born and it unfortunately closed down a while ago. I think a arcade would be a great place for us youth and families because the place is huge and it would be safe not to mention it would give us teens job opportunities since I know there aren’t many in Holly they mostly hire 18 and up. My second idea is to turn it into a community center. A community center would bring us all together and we could still have that educational opportunities and more, for example let’s look at the big stage we could have theater or even live music like bands and small home town artists it could benefit it and help them get into public view. The reason I am pushing for this so badly is because I have been a resident since I was born here back in 2010 and most of my life I’ve been bored and had nothing to do besides go to Sheetz which is fun but gets old really quickly. And I don’t want all these new youths coming in and having nothing for them. The school was here to serve the youth of holly so it should still serve the youth. And I want to be the voice of people of Holly for the ones who won’t speak up .
