I have been working through this pandemic since the beginning. One day I was going into work normally and the next I had to wear a mask. Me and other very young ladies had to stand at the door and tell people they had to wear a mask to enter, but all we would get is spit at, yelled at, and cigarette butts thrown at us.

I work at the store called Kroger. At first they were paying us hazard pay, for about a month, then they stopped paying us the hazard pay. I have no idea why they stopped paying the hazard pay because the pandemic is STILL rolling and getting worse everyday. It just makes me feel like we're less important in the world even though we are running a store that the community needs for groceries, medicines, etc.

We're such a big risk for COVID more than anybody!! I've had coworkers go for COVID tests and they come back positive and they have to quarantine and then they come back to work. That's putting me AND my family at risk. All I'm asking is that we bring back hazard pay for all employeed people still working through the pandemic!! We're risking our lives too!!
