As many people know, in 2019, Sundance film festival aired the pilot episode to Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.

The pilot has gone unreleased for years, and recently we've found out why...

David Zaslav, the man behind warner bros/discovery, still owns the rights to it (even though he had nothing to do with it at all, it wasn't even going to be released with warner)

Unless the rights get somehow returned to Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling (The creators of DHMIS) it's incredibly unlikely that it will ever be released in any way.
