The school landscape is a part of the schools overall appearance in which it is viewed in all aspects. It serves as the impression of a good or bad quality of the school as it will be first seen by people who visits it.  Moreover, the students are the ones who are mainly affected by this problem as proper landscaping doesn’t just give value to the beauty of the school ,but also affect the way that students learn, focus, and draw inspiration.

 

The use of Recycled materials will affect the students in terms of their learning competence. According to a study from the University Of Illinois Department Of Landscape Architecture, it is proven that students performed better on their daily school activities if they have a view on a well-kept, well-maintained outdoor landscape. The study also claims that a student’s capacity to pay attention increased by nearly 13 percent if there was a green, beautiful view outside their window. This supports the idea of using recyclable materials as this will maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the school. Garbages that are not put in a proper waste disposal should instead be gathered and recycled as main materials for school landscaping.

 

Using this will also provide the students in a more safety environment. This will provide a friendlier and less harmful environment compared to those materials used in a common school landscape. The materials that will be recycled contains no chemical and toxins that can be harmful. Moreover, the materials are not sharp, hard and heavy compare to the raw materials.

Aside from the idea that using recyclable materials as natural resources in which energy are conserved, this will also help the school in saving more funds. Instead of buying raw materials for a school landscape, the budget used for it will be allotted for other important projects. Thus, the materials that will be used is gathered from the products used and consumed by the students in school.  

For an early improvement, the use of recyclable materials for school landscaping should be acted upon immediately. The school needs to provide an environment in which it helps the students with their learning. Some issues may be seen in this current situation but the freedom to change is always open for an opportunity. Thus, schools that have a damage and old landscape can be fix as an early recreation on using a more friendly, creative, and safe school landscape is not too late.
