every year over 2.7 million cats and dogs die because they do not have shelter or food to survive, only 1 in 10 cats and dogs have a home the rest of them are out in the cold with no shelter. people have estimated over 70 million cats and dogs are out in the cold with no shelter in the US. Dogs are abandoned first then cats the most in the US. many animal shelters do not accept stray dogs or cats because they got no more space to keep them so they are to stay out in cold. 

you can help animals with no shelter by adopting a pet, becoming a foster to animals, volunteering to help animal shelters, donating, keeping pets for life instead of abandoning them, and transporting animals to shelters with space for them to stay at, you can encourage your friends and families to adopt and donate to an animal shelter.
