In light of everything our country has been through with social and racial injustices, it is time to change the name of the Girl Scouts cookie - Samoas. Samoa is a beautiful country, rich with culture and amazing people. It is not, I repeat, NOT a cookie. Many people in America would think otherwise and that’s a problem. What would make this better is either change the name or update the packaging with information about Samoa and with each box sold a portion of the profits go to helping girls in Samoa gain a better education and opportunities.
