School is almost out for the summer and the average daily temperature in the summer is over 90 degrees. Despite being one of the highest taxed districts in the country, Cherry Hill has no splash pads available for children. The closest one is a 30 minute drive away in Fasola Park in Deptford. 

Cherry Hill is a vibrant and family-friendly community that values the well-being and happiness of its residents, particularly the children. While our town offers various recreational facilities, we currently lack a safe and enjoyable water play area for our youngsters. The absence of splash pads deprives our children of an essential outdoor activity that encourages physical exercise, social interaction, and the joy of water-based recreation.

Splash pads have become increasingly popular in neighboring communities due to their numerous benefits. These interactive water features provide a safe and controlled environment for children of all ages to cool off, have fun, and beat the summer heat. They offer a hygienic alternative to traditional swimming pools and lakes, addressing concerns related to water safety and supervision. Moreover, splash pads promote inclusivity, as they are accessible to children with diverse physical abilities.

By installing splash pads in Cherry Hill, we would not only enhance the quality of life for our residents but also foster a sense of community and promote healthy lifestyles.
