Get The Next Diary of a Wimpy Kid Animated Movie A Higher Budget

The Issue

Disney has made three animated Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies, one each year around the same time, starting in 2021. The first movie in particular has horrendous animation and low-quality writing. The second movie, released in 2022, almost exactly a year after the first one, looks maybe a little bit better but is still a poorly written low-budget film overall. The third and most recent film has much better lighting and it is notably written better, but still a very ugly and budgeted animation. It also doesn't help that the first movie is 58 minutes, the second is 1 hour and 12 minutes, and the third is 1 hour and 2 minutes. This shows that with the animation quality and the runtime, they aren't getting much money to make these. They are also made in under a year, as one has been released in early December every year since 2021. This shows that even if they got maybe a bigger budget, they would have to rush it all anyway. I get that some of it is because they established an animation quality in the first one, and they don't want to make the animation super different. That is not what I and many others are asking for. They don't necessarily have to change the STYLE. They can just make the quality of it better. So I am proposing that the team for the next movie be given more time, even if that means it can't get its "exact year after the last" release date, and a higher budget. Come on Disney.
