Get the Big Bucket working again at the Time Capsule

Get the Big Bucket working again at the Time Capsule
The Issue
Dear Time Capsule Management/NL leisure,
After lockdown/covid, NL leisure decided that the Time Capsule was going to open exclusively on out-of-school hours and school holidays. They also announced, and it is still there to this day on their web page, that the ‘big bucket’ and now the yellow flume were in disrepair and needed maintenance. Surely only opening out of school hours would give enough time and money to repair these? The place is still very frequently visited by many kids and adults. It’s good that there’s a gym and soft play now but i think you need to keep up the waterpark area, as it is the main reason other than ice skating etc that people still visit, if the waterpark was shut down I, and i’m sure many others, would consider the time capsule a thing of the past.
There is also another issue, after 2020 NL leisure also announced that you would have to go through an extremely lengthy booking process to use the waterpark/other facilities, I have spoken to many people both in Coatbridge/the surrounding area and also online, and each and every one of them think this is a joke. So many people have stopped going or thinking of going to the time capsule because of this. I and all these people think that you should scrap your booking system all together, or at least accept walk ins on the day, at their own risk that they might be told the slots are full.
By restoring the big bucket and it’s related attractions, you could create a positive ripple effect throughout Coatbridge. The time capsule draws people all over Glasgow to a place they would otherwise consider dead. If more people come to the time capsule with the news that it had been updated, more money would be spent not only in the time capsule’s many other facilities, but around Coatbridge too, in shops etc.
I urge you, as responsible stewards of our beloved Time Capsule, to consider this petition with utmost sincerity. These attractions are actually iconic. By doing so, we will not only honor our past but also ensure a brighter future for generations to come.
