I made this petition to make sure that students receive better housing. This issue affects Lamar on campus students and we need change now!
            For years, Lamar University students have had to struggle living in an unsanitary habitat, but it’s time for a change. With this petition we hope to bring awareness to this ongoing issue. The mold and gnat infestation has been a constant struggle for on campus students to live in and we deserve better for how much we pay to attend Lamar University. We have tried telling housing about the situation, but nothing comes from it. They tell us to put in a maintenance request which doesn’t get replied to or they come 2 weeks later. The most that maintenance will do for mold is paint over it and for gnats they put out traps, but the traps bring more gnats. Hoping to seek a solution for the constant frustration students have had to endure for years.
