Deggeller Amusements has taken over the Sarasota county fair for the 2025 season and has ruined all that is sacred at the fair. Bring back Bell City Amusements. Before you even step foot into the fair you are greeted by their AI generated art covered ticket booths, once you go inside to purchase your tickets or wristband you approach a machine with no ticket teller, no employee and the sign will say $20 for a wrist band and $10 for every 100 credits not tickets you buy. However once you go to buy the tickets or wristband wether you are paying cash or card there’s a $2 fee so it’s actually $22 for a wrist band and $12 for every 100 credits you buy. Once you make your purchase you go to the opposite side of the fair with your recipt to acquire your wrist band or ticket. When we asked the employee about pricing they said they had the $10 for 100 ride credits as an option for families who may not have enough to purchase a wrist band. However when we went to go ride rides we realized nearly every ride is 60-75  credits so you wouldn’t have spent all your credits on one ride but you wouldn’t have enough left to ride another one so if you wanted to ride more than one ride you would need to spend the price of a wrist band anyways. Also when we approached the rides there was conflicting advertisement on how many tickets/credits the ride would be, the height measure would say 4-10 tickets but once you got closer to the ride there was a separate fence with a separate sign that said 60-75 credits, which is correct? We discovered the higher credit option was always the correct one. Once we started walking through the fair more every stand was riddled with AI art as the decoration for the game booths, funhouses and food booths. Once you approach any food booth run by the Deggller company and not an outside party you will notice the prices are double the outside food booths, double price for water and lemonade. $8 for water compared to $4, $12 for a regular lemonade compared to $5. Every employee except for 1 was stuck up and only worried about getting as much money from you as they can. So not only are they charging us more money (and not advertising some of it) they hired less employees and used AI art instead of original work. So where is all this extra money going? To Deggeller Amusements or Lord Business as I like to call them. The rides are no better, there’s AI everywhere, less employees and astronomical prices. The fair has always been a money grab of course but when Bell City Amusements, the company who has ran our fair for years comes in the prices are as advertised and not astronomical, there’s plenty of fun personable employees all around, it’s easy and affordable to get tickets and there’s original art and fun rides all around. When Bell City Amusements comes in our money we are spending at the fair goes back into our enjoyment and not just the pockets of greedy CEO’s. Bring back Bell City Amusements back to the Sarasota county fair and get rid of Deggeller entertainments!
