Get Panache Digital Games to make a sequel to Ancestors the Humankind Odyssey

The Issue

In August 2019, Panache Digital Games released their first indie game: Ancestors, the Humankind Odyssey. It received great reviews and has since sold 1.5 million copies. Now it has been a few years, and Panache has said little about a possible sequel. It's incredibly upsetting, Ancestors has such great potential for DLC or a sequel. Imagine getting to play as a caveman during the ice age, getting to build huts and make fire! Hunting mammoths! Think Far Cry Primal, but with the classic evolutionary aspects of Ancestors. We need to show Panache that we want a sequel, we need to show them that there is an audience that cares about their game. Sure, the first game only sold 1.5 million copies, but for an indie game that's still a huge achievement. A sequel could sell even more! Especially considering how many fans are just itching for this. Basically all the members in their discord server joined to ask about the sequel!

If Panache doesn’t want to make a full sequel, just do DLC, let us play as different Hominids. There's so many alternative species to progress through! We could get to play as Paranthropus, or Habilis, or some other Hominin, each with different play styles. Paranthropus could have gameplay focused around living in the plains of Africa and digging up plants (due to its diet consisting of roots and plants). Florensis could be a fun challenge as a DLC for the sequel, due to how short it was. There's so much you can do with the concept that Panache set up in Ancestors the Humankind Odyssey, that's what makes it so frustrating that we haven't even got DLC. I can live without a sequel, but no DLC?

Panache must answer to their fans. Everyone wants it, but Panache seems to be ignoring us.
A sequel is a highly demanded part of ancestors, which many of the people in the server joined to ask about.

1.5 million is a lot of copies sold for a game about early humans, not to mention I and many others would rather be more modern species which would boost the game sales a lot, and the hype for the game is more than you'd expect for a historical game on human ancestors. Largely more. Even people who aren’t familiar with ancestors would be interested in such a game. The only problem is if the game really lives up to the hype, it could be a make or break which is why we don’t care how long it takes, we just want the game to be released, with quality and care.

Not to mention, it’s already been hyped by a large amount of the fanbase, far more than the project being worked on currently. Panache IS known for ancestors, if they released a different game it would be like EA Sports releasing a first person shooter instead of a sports game.

Not to discourage Panache from releasing games unrelated to ancestors, but most of us believe that an ancestor's sequel should be high on priority.

We also will gladly make a gofundme for you to make ancestors 2.

I’m sure many would donate!
