Help end the criminalization of single use possession in New York State! Drug criminalization disproportionately impacts people or color and is consistently ineffective at lowering drug usage. New York State Senate Bill S1284 aims to make drug addiction a public health issue, not a criminal one. It will decriminalize usage and possession and create a task force to find the most effective ways to treat drug addiction. However, it has been stuck in the NY Senate Codes Committee for a year. Sign this petition to show Codes Committee Chairman, Senator Jamaal T. Bailey, that we want this bill on the Senate floor and we want it passed!
