On Saturday, April 20th a fire sprinkler system broke, spraying the hallways with water, 13 classrooms were filled with water, out of the 13 Mr. Amundson's room was one of the worst. In the water damage his record player, pictures of him students drew, and his expensive microwave (he bought with his own money) were all ruined, along with his wall. The amount of damage in the school was large, but Castle Rock middle school is renovating while still keeping the school open, and teaching their 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Mr. Amundson uses his microwave to heat up his meals without going out of school, he does that so he can plan lessons, and make sure his classroom is a safe place.
