Transportation is the 2nd major cause of emitted greenhouse gases in all of the United States. By getting electric buses in the MBTA, even though it probably will make a slight difference, the idea would get more popular and other states would start to consider getting electric buses in their transportation system which would help reduce the amount of greenhouse gasses emitted. Other countries are already implying electric buses into their transportation like China, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Poland, and Finland with many more and many starting to get electric buses.
