Mint Ville - A comedy thriller. 

“After making an alarming discovery in an abandoned garage, a teenage boy and his group of misfit friends are drawn into an ongoing battle to prevent their town from being taken over by a drag queen drug lord and her army of thugs”. 

Four years ago my best friend embarked on a journey to create a comedy thriller television series called Mint Ville. I joined him on that journey a year and a half later. 

Operating with nothing but determination, passion and certainly no money, we filmed in Harvey’s grandparents garage, transforming the space into our villain’s lair. We have screened each episode in a local theatre where we received heartwarming support from our growing paying audience. Our pilot even found its way to a mid-tier US streaming service. 

Now we want to take Mint Ville to the next level. Our dream is to secure a budget that allows us to remake the series to streaming standards, featuring an elite cast of actors, comedians, and drag queens.

Breaking into the creative industries can feel like a monumental challenge, particularly for individuals from working-class backgrounds. This experience has taught us that talent knows no bounds, and we want to set an example that anyone, from anywhere, is capable of crafting stories that entertain and inspire and the people around you matter so much more when creating something than the money, (or lack of it)  in your bank account.
