One year ago, our schools 'democracy' system was told that a uniform company had been contacted to try and tailor shorts to knee length. This is also why our uniform lead stated that the school couldn't introduce shorts because the tailored ones were a 'financial burden' despite a 2 pack of smart black shorts from ASDA costing only 5 pounds. The School seems to reject the fact that hot, sweaty students find it difficult to learn and if the wellbeing of the student is ignored, they will not learn at their full potential. As summer comes up again this year, getting hotter and hotter because of climate change, students crave a change in the uniform policy yet to no avail. Both boys and girls would benefit from this and our school seems to love to reject the plain obvious. Now, if we can raise a number of signatures on this partition, change can be made. I urge you to help all students at Madeley High School achieve what we have been wanting for years on end.
