In 2010, VH1 put together a Diva's Salute the Troops event where several stars gathered to perform and honor the men and women who were serving our country (the United States). Notable performers that night included Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, arguably two of the most influential artists of the 2010s. These two collaborated and gave the performance of a lifetime with their cover of the 1983 Cyndi Lauper hit, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." People from ages 8 to 80 know this song and it always seems to bring everyone together singing and dancing, without fail.
