My name is Jazmine Garcia and on January 3, 2022 me and my five year old girl daughter were victims of sexual assault on a flight from Maryland to Phoenix. Three hours into our flight the predator that was sitting next to us unbuttoned his pants and put his hand down his pants on started touching himself inappropriately. I had a chance to take a few seconds of a video (I will post it on my social media‘s. ) I immediately got myself and my daughter up told a flight attendant and they were gracious enough to move us seats. Once we landed the Southwest manager was waiting for us at the gate and she took down her report as well as contacted Phoenix police. The officer came in took his report and I showed him the video and he made me walk over to the FBI section at the airport and have the FBI detective take down another report and then I showed him the video, I even emailed it to him. They both told me without a confession even though I have evidence they cannot arrest him since it was not on Phoenix ground it was on federal air. My personal opinion, I strongly felt that the FBI as well as a phoenix officer didn’t wanted anything to do with my complaint nor this issue. The FBI detective told me he would have to pass it on to his partner name Robert and he would be in charge of my case and I will have to wait and see if the attorney general office wants to move forward with this case or denied this case. Fast Forward a couple of months Robert the FBI detective emails me and notifies me is that the attorney general office has declined this case. I have also been bugging the Phoenix public records since January 5 I called him multiple times a week, it is now late March, to get a copy of the incident report and they do not want to release it to me. I have had enough ! Me and my five-year-old daughter needs justice and need this pedophile predator to be held accountable of his actions and Justice needs to be served promptly. I am doing this petition in hopes that the attorney Office relook this case over and do what’s right.
