Get Jordan Peterson to delete Twitter.

The Issue

Whether you like it or not, Jordan Peterson is a pivotal thinker in many people's lives and one of the most famous public intellectuals of all time. I was 19 when I first read 12 rules for life and it couldn’t have been a more perfect time. I was severely overweight, nihilistic, and working at a grocery store warehouse near my home town. Peterson’s work not only introduced me to the basic concepts of self improvement, it opened up a whole new world for me. All of the sudden I began thinking about myths, narratives and religion. I began to experience art and music on a far deeper level, seeing deep into the creators soul and the storied history of their practices. I began exploring the works of Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell. Catholicism, Qabalah, Hermetics and psychedelics. I found an even deeper love and admiration for my family and friends. I became a much more tolerant person, understanding that everyone’s flaws and shortcomings are part of the complex mosaic that make up the beauty of the human soul. Regardless of the controversy, I always felt like, above all, Jordan Peterson deeply cared about truth and humanity. That was until I discovered his twitter.

Jordan's twitter tarnishes his 25 year long career. During the creation of this petition on September 17th, he had tweeted or retweeted 168 times in 9 hours. That's one tweet every 3.2 minutes. He has recently taken to tweeting exclusively in poetic prose as some sort of anti-establishment statement? What ever his reasoning is, it's destroying his reputation even farther. This petition isn't made to engage with the arguments he makes on twitter or to comment on controversial statements he has made in the past. This petition has one goal, show Jordan that there is unilateral and bi-partisan support for him to stop tweeting for good.
