Get Florida State to change the logo back to the old one, pre-2014.

The Issue

I've been a fan of the Florida State Seminoles football team since 1991, and every year I'm hoping that we can recapture the success that we experienced during the "Glory Years" of the Bowden era, specifically 1987-2000 when we finished in the Top 5 every year and won 2 national titles. After Jameis Winston and the Noles defeated Auburn on January 6th of 2014 in the Rose Bowl for the National Championship, the FSU administration decided to change FSU's mascot logo. Their reason for the change according to an ESPN article on 4/14/14 was,

"The issue was that our Seminole Head, while as recognizable and iconic as any in all of sports, does not reproduce well in a number of mediums. It is particularly difficult to embroider and impossible to accurately represent on some materials including at midfield at Doak Campbell Stadium. We believe this image is the best in all of sports and that the result of our efforts will maximize the symbol on a national level. The refined logo will allow us to use it more prominently across all platforms including our uniforms, sideline apparel and graphics."

I'm not an artist, and I certainly don't pretend to be one either. However I'd like to believe that with the advances in technology in the last 8 years, the obstacles mentioned above can't be overcome. I think you would be extremely hard-pressed to find a Noles fan who prefers the new logo as opposed to the old one. The football team is on the verge of becoming an elite team again. We need for the logo to be elite as well.
