“The Thirteenth Day: The Story of Esther” first released in 1979 was a short television special aired that on ABC TV. This film follows the story of a young Queen Esther from the Old Testament of the Bible, who has to save herself and her jewish people from being killed. Queen Esther is portrayed by the talented actress Olivia Hussey, who is most known for her role as Juliet in Franco Zeffirelli’s “Romeo and Juliet”.

 The copyrights to this movie are now owned by Universal Studios and Disney, this film is not available to view or purchase anywhere. After speaking to Disney’s customer support, I was told the only way to have this film re-released is for the Disney marketing team to see request be made.
