Get Boys Volleyball as a Sport at SCH

The Issue

I’m calling on Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (SCH) to introduce boys volleyball as an official interscholastic sport. As the fastest-growing high school sport in the U.S., boys volleyball has seen a surge in popularity, with participation increasing over 22% in the last five years, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). Despite this national momentum, SCH has yet to offer this rapidly expanding opportunity to its male students.

Adding boys volleyball would align perfectly with SCH’s values of inclusivity, growth, and forward-thinking education. Offering this sport would not only diversify the school’s athletic program but also provide more students with the chance to engage in a team that builds leadership, perseverance, and school pride. Sports like volleyball have been shown to boost academic performance, encourage positive social connections, and create a stronger sense of community. Sign this petition if you believe SCH should step forward and give boys the opportunity to compete, grow, and thrive on the volleyball court.
