Get a Host School for an ISAS Art Festival in 2025

The Issue

I came back from ISAS Art Festival 2024 in Austin yesterday and I'm already desperate for more. If you've been I'm sure you understand, but if you haven't, let me catch you up to speed.

ISAS is the most amazing festival I've ever been to in my life. Its a home for painters, singers, actors, potters, bands, dancers, filmmakers, and more. It lets all the art kids shine genuinely producing some of the best art and music I'd ever seen. Music is playing almost constantly along with different workshops, student films, art showcases, a silent disco, musicals, improv sessions, and so much more. Everyone who goes can have a completey diffrent list of events they went to and still have just as much fun and get just as much out of the experience as the next guy.

So, what did I get out of it? Along with getting feedback and critique on my work, getting cool art pieces from the different workshops, absolutely jamming out to the amazing music in the rock tent, watching incredible plays, one-acts, films, & improv sessions, I got to meet some of the coolest people. I wouldn't categorize myself as being a very social person, but this festival absolutely got me out of my shell. I found myself right in the middle of all the noise and excitement surrounded by a bunch of people I would normally be too scared to talk to, let alone actually be myself around. I found people like me and people completely different, but we were all bonded together by the same thing; the ISAS 2024 Art Festival.

I wholeheartedly believe this festival changed me and so many others. I never expected to have this much excitement on a school trip, but it has been some of the most fun I've ever had. The only, only negative thing I can say about the festival was that it ended. So please, we need a school to step up. We need a school to voulenteer to host one of the most amazing celebrations of art & music and help foster the joy I felt in so many other kids next year. I would get down on my knees in front of every school official and beg if I could, but I can't.

So please listen, and understand just how important this is not only to me, not only to the thousands of other kids who have gone, but to experiencing and understanding art as a whole.
