STOP COVID-19 DEATHS IN GA JAILS
The Issue
RestoreHER US.America has a major concern for our incarcerated people; especially pregnant women and vulnerable populations in county jails, due to the high turnover and the high number of non-convicted folks at risk for unnecessary exposure to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
RestoreHER’s Recommendations For GA County Jails request the release pregnant women, non convicted people, immune compromised, 60+ years of age, bonds $5K or less, technical violations, traffic violations, misdemeanors, and non violent charges to prevent the spreading of COVID-19 to people incarcerated in the county jails throughout Georgia and more importantly because we now have confirmed cases in the correctional setting.
