Since the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act, 214 polling locations have been closed in Georgia (81 in metro Atlanta). Many of these polling locations are located in Black districts. The Voting Rights Act was enacted to provide exactly these protections against voter suppression. Let’s hold the Secretary of State accountable and ensure these locations are available when November comes! During the June 9th primaries, many Black and/or democratic neighborhoods experienced ridiculously long lines to vote. Let’s fight against this malfeasance.
