People ages 18 to 65 with high risk health conditions such as and not limited to Type 1 diabetes, cystic fibrosis, congenital heart disease and COPD are currently 1 phase behind essential workers which include taxi drivers,  fast food employees and sanitation workers. Sick people work harder than most to complete the same work, contribute to society, pay taxes and have families. Most high risk middle aged survivors have had to fight their entire lives by having less opportunities for careers, an often ignored lack of privilege and often fighting hard to appear to function normally in society.  While trying to look for additional options I have been told to "wait my turn" and "excited" in a derogatory way.  I, like many others in my shoes, are just trying to see a day when we can walk outside without fear, to continue to avoid places like fast food and their essential workers so that I can see and enjoy my children as they grow up.
