Through the Recovery Act of 2009 the State of georgia has received $906.6 million dollars for infrastructure projects. The Georgia Department of Transportation has focused the re-paving and re-surfacing projects on the Northern section of Interstate-285 neglecting the South West section of roads that includes South Fulton and Cobb. The roads and center medians are in deplorable conditions on both directions and need to be re-paved totally and not just filling in specific pot holes. As tax payers of the United States and State of Georgia we demand equal representation when it comes to infrastructure and road development in our communities. Why have the road projects been focused on the Northern section and not the Southern parts of Interstate-285? Lets demand that our tax dollars are put to good use and get our roads fixed in South Fulton and Cobb counties.
