Bradley Cooper for Georgetown Graduation Speaker 2016

The Issue

Bradley Cooper graduated from Georgetown Univeristy (’97) with honors and an English degree. Though he originally didn’t get into his “dream school” he was determined to transfer into Georgetown University after his freshman year at Villanova.
During his time at Gtown he rowed for the Men’s Heavyweight Rowing Crew team, went abroad to France and became fluent in French, and first discovered his love and talent for acting after performing the the school’s production of Dangerous Liasons.
Today Bradley Cooper is one of Hollywood’s most talented producers and oscar-nominated actors. He’s discussed the importance of de-stigmatizing mental illness. Recently he vowed to team up with his female costars to battle pay inequalities and to negotiate proper salaries before production. And, he has joined forces with other actors to spread the word about the Got Your 6 program that helps integrate veterans back into their communities. He constantly works at improve his talent and hopes to become a director.
Bradley Cooper is a driven, disciplined, passionate, intelligent, and worldly Georgetown alumn. The senior class would be honored to hear him speak and advise for our final time on campus at our very own Graduation.
