Hello amazing people!!! Tampon Tax Fund recipients were announced this week, seeing a total of £30,000,000 over two years go towards helping women up and down the country. Period! The fund is completely unprecedented and wouldn't have happened without your hard word - that's pretty amazing! Here's a short list of just some of the charities that benefited and the projects that we have helped continue: 'One Parent Families' received £354,617 to provide help and support for single parent families. 'Standing Together Against Domestic Violence' received £1,000,000 to bring together domestic abuse systems leaders and gather experience on women with complex needs and survivors from BME, LGBT and disables groups. 'Black Country Women's Aid' recieved £240,401 to develop the first specialist support service for victims of stalking. There are sooo many more amazing projects being supported thanks to all of you!! Thank you for your thoughts on the matter. I just want to make clear that this tampon tax campaign is only about tampon tax. It is completely separate from the abortion debate. I really hope that we can stay united in ending tampon tax, which we are so close to doing, irrespective of our opinions on other matters, and can focus on the many many awesome charities that kick ass that bit more thanks to you all.
